It has been awhile since I have been on my blog. I know I'm slack. Over the weekend I went on a retreat with friends up to Mt. Alford. It is a wonderful place. Now I will put some photos up of the retreat.

This is the top of my table runner. Marg showed us what to do. She done a few over the weekend. I have just finished quilting it. Now I have to decided what binding to put on.
I'm hoping to it the binding on tonight.

The photo of the right is Cath trying to look like she is hard at work. Can't see what she is making but over the weekend Cath made some wonderful things.


The above table runner was made by Barb. That is the next table runner I will be making. I brought some Christmas fabric from Marg. Might start that one over the weekend if I have time. Will put more on later tonight. Have to go and cut out stripes for my binding.

Here are some more stitcheries that are in the set I'm doing. Once I have finished them I have to sew the back on in a tag shape. They are Christmas tags. At the moment I'm into sewing and everything else is a no go.

This is my first block that I have been for the quilt I'm doing on a Thursday morning. I'm doing hand applique and I'm really enjoying it. I love doing hand work. The next block is all machine sewing. Couldn't go yesterday as they had no electricity. I did miss going. The ladies who go are very nice and friendly. Also I have been doing some stitcheries(above right). When I go anywhere I have to sit for awhile I take my stitcheries with me. Only have 4 more to do on this set. So I will have to go and find some more to do.

Here is our new family member. His name is Benji. Benji is 15 weeks old and he is Shih-tzu cross Maltese. We have only had him a week. He is so cute. Well some of the time. Benji has already had a go at my dolls. That is a no no.

Well it has been a long time since I have been on here. Alot has happened over the 11 months. Health problems,holiday,floods and a new family member. Later on today I'll put some photos up. Also I have been going to a group on Thursdays to learn how to do quilt as you go. I'm really enjoying it and the ladies are wonderful. I'm doing that at Rose Patchwork Cottage. I have done the first block. Can't wait until we start the second blocks which was to be today but they will not have electricity for the day. Not happy. My new family is sitting here next to me looking at me saying it is feed time. Well better go and feed him.
